Tonyita Shawnee’s professional employment, personal experience, and volunteer background includes over 20 years of customer relation services. Her skill set not only encompasses identifying, networking, building, and maintaining relationships with donors, sponsors, community partners, but also includes connecting people and organizations to resources. She specializes in interfacing with the formerly incarcerated population and individuals experiencing incarceration.
On a personal note, Tonyita is the proud mother of five sons, and a very passionate community servant leader who believes it is a privilege and honor to inspire, encourage, and impart wisdom that she has gleaned through her lived experiences. She is generous in spirit and has an uncanny ability to view the pain from her past as an opportunity to strengthen and advocate for others. When asked, “What is your motivation?" Tonyita replied, “I try to live by the motto: I am my sister. This serves as a personal reminder to take off my mask, be authentic, connect, and share to empower others”. #WherePainMeetsPurpose
For over 20 years, I have genuinely loved building relationships with a purpose. I have dedicated myself to bringing the importance of this message to audiences around the world. Whether as a speaker, panelist, class facilitator or a workshop leader, I help break through the boundaries that are limiting real connections between family, staff members and/or community organizations. Let me help you move from working harder in unproductive silos, to working smarter through meaningful collaborative relationships.
As a very passionate speaker and innovator, I will bring new life, humor, lived experiences, connections and solutions to your next event. Contact me, and we can design a workshop or presentation that identifies and confronts real life issues head on. This process will inspire participants to take off the mask and keep running the race that is set before them.
